Wow!! What an incredibly QUAINT little cafe! Especially the upstairs seating area I highly recommend! The vibe here was amazingly calm and peaceful. Thereโs an Epiphone acoustic guitar upstairs that looks free to play, too. The vanilla latte I ordered was outstanding and better than Starbucks or anywhere else I can remember. Oddly the prices arenโt listed on the outdoor menu nor the large menu on the wall behind the counter. The only place I saw prices was a printed menu when you walk in the door - and there was only 1 copy left. Anyway prices were normal - $4 for normal size latte, $5 for large.

We we're pleasantly surprised with the food, coffee and atmosphere at Java Dock Cafe. We had the Burrito, Sausage Egg Bagel and Egg Bacon Bagel. The Bagels and all ingredients were very fresh and tasty. One thing we wished, was that they would stay open later so we could eat their food for dinner! Whenever we return to Port Washington, this place is on our 'short-list' to always return too.
We had a great experience at this cafรฉ meeting some friends in Port Washington! We really liked the atmosphere and the upstairs with games and a guitar to occupy the littles! However, we were a little underwhelmed at the chai latte as it tasted a little watery and not as creamy as weโd hoped. Also, the avocado toast just seemed like some toast with guacamole on top. The avocado toast was good, but it was nothing too fancy. The caramel apple scone had good flavors but was a little dry also. The carrot bread was very good! Overall cute place but not crave worthy food.
Stopped here on my way back home and was so glad I did! It's an interesting set-up where the checkout counter is on the first floor and the seating area is on the second. I like it though since I feel like it keeps the hubbub of people ordering away so you can focus on enjoying your food and drink, reading a book, or writing something like a substack in my case. I got an egg sammy which was a simple yet deceptively complex and delicious dish thanks to the guacamole on it. For a drink, I got The Salty Dog and really enjoyed the amount of caramel and salt they put in it - it hit the perfect sweet spot. It was quiet and empty when I was there, but that's probably because I was there shortly after opening. Staff was very friendly and I'm definitely coming back next time I'm out that way!
Coffee is some of the best Iโve had I love the liquid sunshine. Service is always great every time Iโve gone and very timely as well. I will continue to come here!
I had really helpful baristas as I'm new to coffee. They walked me through my options and explained that they served breakfast and lunch up until 2:00 each day. My food and coffee came to me with very little wait and I was excited to see the upstairs seating area. Upstairs was a perfect spot to meet up with a friend or get some work done with their great seating options and complimentary wifi. The decor was fantastic and the patrons we're friendly. I was lucky enough to bump into my neighbor and he explained that he's known about this great spot for awhile now. Nevertheless, I am ready to make it a go-to spot.
Such a wonderful cafรฉ in Port Washington. Family friendly, favorite spot after church on Sunday with the family.
The cafe wasnโt open over the holidays when we went to visit but the peppermint coffee and the strawberry smoothie was delicious. The local artwork, photography and paintings in the upstairs seating area makes it feel really comfortable for an outing with friends. It was quiet upstairs and the sunlight from all the windows was really nice even on an overcast day.
